Before withdrawing off another campaign from Liam 23, displaying excellent agility, Randolph turned Lucas Joao’s front-post header around the post.
Jonathan Woodgate:”I thought we deserved to win it. We stood solid, although I thought in the direction of the close of the match they piled on the pressure. Like I said at the week , we needed to find that that belief steel and that I thought we did that.
“I thought we needed to win the game. I thought we all might have been a couple of goals up and looked dangerous. It was deserved, and I was pleased for the lads, they handed me everything.”
Jose Gomes:”Puscas, Joao and Pele did not start. Pele and Puscas had went for their group, but that was not the sole reason why they didn’t play. The motive was that I did not enjoy the way they played at the game.
“I’ve got six strikers, they’re all excellent players, and they should all fight for their position. They need to give and it is my duty as their manager. Should they do not provide the maximum they can, in my opinion, then we’ve got quite excellent quality players that can replace them and play”
